This position is responsible for preparing, finishing, and painting drywall surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role includes repairing wall imperfections, applying primers and paint, and ensuring a smooth, professional finish that meets project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare drywall surfaces by sanding, patching, mudding, and cleaning walls and ceilings 
  • Repair cracks, holes, dents, and other surface imperfections 
  • Apply primer, paint, texture, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment 
  • Match paint colors and finishes according to customer or project requirements 
  • Protect floors, furniture, and surrounding areas with coverings and tape 
  • Operate and maintain painting and drywall tools safely 
  • Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines 
  • Read blueprints, work orders, or project instructions when needed 
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area 
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ Experience with drywall finishing and painting techniques 
  • Knowledge of surface preparation and paint application methods 
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely 
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship 
  • Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, lift materials, and work overhead 
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills 
Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Previous construction or painting experience 
  • Experience with texture spraying and finishing 
  • Valid driver’s license 
Work Environment

  • Residential homes, commercial buildings, and construction sites 
  • May involve working at heights, in dusty conditions, or in varying temperatures

Compensation: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
